Description: Island C provided fuels, meals, lodging and labor in support of the 2014 National Park Service (NPS) Southwest Alaska Network (SWAN) Nearshore Monitoring Program. This project is an annual monitoring of sentinel species of the near shore ecosystem in Katmai National Park. Survey crews sample and monitor kelps, marine algae, sea grasses, marine intertidal invertebrates, marine birds, black oystercatchers, sea otters, and marine water chemistry and quality. We provided all support services for the scientific crew conducting marine sampling in the coastal area of Katmai National Park and Preserve in Alaska.
